This site is not directed at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately and we will delete it promptly.
11. Classroom Toolkit Chrome Extension
We publish a free browser extension called Classroom Toolkit (a classroom timer and random name picker for teachers). This section explains exactly how the extension handles data. It is intentionally different from how the website works.
- No data is collected by us. The extension does not send any information to ClassroomAI Guide, to our servers, or to any third party. It contains no analytics, no tracking, and no advertising.
- Everything stays on your device. Any class roster (the list of student names you type in) and your settings are stored only in your own browser using Chrome’s local storage (
chrome.storage.local). This data never leaves your computer. - No account required. The extension does not ask you to register, log in, or provide an email address to work.
- Permissions. The extension requests a single permission,
storage, used solely to remember your roster and preferences between sessions so you don’t have to re-enter them.
Deleting your extension data: Because the data is stored locally, you stay in full control. You can clear it at any time by removing your saved names in the extension, clearing your browser’s site/extension data, or uninstalling the extension — which permanently removes all data it stored on your device.
Note: the “AI Tools” links inside the extension simply open pages on classroomaiguide.com in a new browser tab. Once you are on the website, the website portions of this Privacy Policy (including cookies and analytics) apply as normal.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
